ITV HD: an overview
The ITV 1 HD channel is a free channel from ITV offering a range of high definition content, generally simultaneously broadcast alongside the standard ITV 1 channel.
It can currently be received via Freeview HD, Freesat, Sky HD and Virgin Media, though there are a few issues which make it difficult for some regions to access it.

What can I watch in high definition on ITV HD?
Mainstream programmes with an HD version are simultaneously broadcast on the ITV HD channel at the same time as they appear on ITV1.
Not all content on the ITV HD channel is ‘native’ high definition. In other words, it was not filmed in HD, but has been ‘upscaled’ by the broadcaster to appear more like high definition. In reality, the quality will not be as high, though it will still be good.
